On June 18, 2026, Ambassador Kang Yan visited The Science and Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper) and attended a round table of Slovenian-Chinese Cooperation in Science.

Ambassador Kang and Dr. Pisot, the center's director, exchanged views on strengthening the organization's exchanges and cooperation with China. Both sides agreed that the prospects for cooperation are broad.

In her remarks at the roundtable meeting, Ambassador Kang stated that scientific and technological cooperation is an important component of relations between countries. Since the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Slovenia, the two sides have carried out nearly 100 science and technology cooperation projects, achieving fruitful results in areas such as green development and addressing climate change. China will continue to uphold the principles of openness, inclusiveness, mutual benefit, and win-win cooperation, deepen industry-university-research cooperation with universities and research institutions in Slovenia, and the embassy will actively play its role as a bridge and link.
