On July 21, 2026, Ambassador Kang Yan met with Mr. Zdravko Počivalšek, State Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister of Slovenia. They had in-depth discussions on strengthening cooperation in the fields of economy, trade and others.

Ambassador Kang noted that China-Slovenia economic and trade relations have enjoyed sound development in recent years, with the total volume of bilateral trade steadily expanding and the scope of cooperation continuously broadening. China stands ready to work with Slovenia’s new government to facilitate the export of more high-quality and distinctive Slovenian products to China, and elevate practical cooperation between the two countries to a new height.

State Secretary Počivalšek spoke positively of China-Slovenia relations. He noted that economic and trade cooperation constitutes the top priority of bilateral relations and expressed willingness to further deepen exchanges and cooperation across various fields. He stressed that Slovenia remains committed to the one-China policy.
